How to Install DLL, VBX & OCX Files
To install a DLL, OCX or VBX file, you simply need to extract the file
from the downloaded ZIP file to the same folder as the program
requesting the file.
The program should be working now but if its not, you may need to
restart your computer.
Problem Solving:
If after restarting your computer the program still doesn't work,
repeat the steps above but extract the file to your system folder
instead of the program folder. Normally system folders are:
C:\Windows\System (Windows
95/98/Me)
C:\WINNT\System32 (Windows NT/2000)
C:\Windows\System32 (Windows XP/Vista/7/8)
C:\Windows\SysWOW64 (Windows 64-bit)
If the problem still occurs, you may try the following:
- Click Start and then click Run
- In the box that appears type CMD and then press Enter
- On the black screen that comes up type: "regsvr32 filename"
and press Enter. Replace filename with the name of the file you
extracted.
